Career Coach BEVILL STATE NEWS SOCIAL MEDIA Jan 10, 2020 Partners Fund Earl McDonald Auditorium Project on the Bevill State Fayette Campus Bevill State Community College will begin a project to update the audio/visual equipment in the Earl McDonald Auditorium in the Tom Bevill Building on the Fayette Campus. This project is being funded through multiple sources, including Senator Greg Reed, Rep. Kyle South, the Fayette Community Foundation, the Bevill Foundation, and the Alabama Community College System (ACCS). The Earl McDonald Auditorium is the largest auditorium in the Fayette County area, and is regularly used for College, partnering schools, and community events. For several years, sections of the auditorium’s lighting and sound systems have been non-functioning, leaving any group or organization utilizing the facility without a complete A/V system for use. Repairs were cost prohibitive. The contributions from these organizations is going to allow for a replacement of both the sound and lighting systems. Full Story » Oct 31, 2019 Bevill State Receives Rare 'No Recommendations' Evaluation from SACSCOC Review Committee Months of strenuous, coordinated effort in preparation for the arrival of the on-site Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) review committee were proven successful on Thursday, October 31. The committee, which visited all of the Bevill State Community College (BSCC) campuses and several off-site locations from October 28-31, issued an evaluation of “no recommendations” for the College. BSCC President Dr. Kim Ennis said the evaluation results were a tremendous accomplishment for Bevill State. “The results of the on-site visit are a wonderful affirmation of all the hard work that has been done by so many people to make Bevill State a strong institution,” Ennis said. “As community colleges rarely receive an evaluation of no recommendations, I think this speaks volumes regarding the level of dedication put forward by our faculty and staff in advance of the committee’s visit.” Full Story » Sep 09, 2019 Bevill State Launches Manufactured Home Installation Training Program Bevill State Community College is proud to announce the launch of a new Manufactured Home Installation Training class on the Hamilton Campus. Invited guests will attend a launch reception on Thursday, September 26th, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Bevill Business and Community Center located at 1481 Military Street S, Hamilton, AL 35570.
